South Lebanon Elementary

On behalf of the Village of South Lebanon, I am pleased to announce that the petition for annexation for 25.3 acres along State Route 48, including the South Lebanon Elementary School and three additional property owners, was approved by the Board of Warren County Commissioners on January 18, 2011 with Commission President South in favor; Commissioner Ariss in favor; and Commissioner Young in opposition.  The Village wishes to thank retired
SLE teachers Mrs. Chapman and Mr. Lyons for their attendance and support before the Commissioners.

The elementary school, which carries the village’s name and the distinction of being a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, is part of the heritage of our community and we will welcome it home where it belongs.  The education of our young people--which historically took place in the Village for over 200 years until the relocation of the School outside our corporation limits in 2003--has and will always be our highest priority, since they are the future of South Lebanon.
